Services

Professional notary support for foreigners

Visiting a Turkish notary office as a foreigner can feel overwhelming. Everything is in Turkish, the procedures are unfamiliar, and a single mistake on a power of attorney or property transfer document can cause serious problems later. Our notary assistance service takes the stress out of the process. We prepare your documents in advance, book your appointment, accompany you to the notary office, provide a sworn translator, and make sure you understand exactly what you are signing before you put pen to paper.

Whether you need a power of attorney for a property purchase, a vehicle transfer, document authentication for your residence permit application, or any other notarised document, we guide you through every step. We work with notary offices across Turkey, with particular coverage in Istanbul, Antalya, Ankara, Izmir, Mersin and Alanya.

How It Works

How it works

Our notary assistance follows a clear five-step process from initial consultation to post-appointment follow-up.

Pre-appointment Consultation
Document Preparation
Notary Appointment Booking
Accompaniment & Translation
Post-appointment Follow-up

Step 1: Pre-appointment consultation

We start with a consultation to understand what you need. Whether it is a power of attorney for your property lawyer, a vehicle transfer, or document authentication, we assess your situation and explain exactly what will happen at the notary. We advise on which type of document you need, what information is required, and what the costs will be. This consultation can be done by phone, video call or in person.

Step 2: Document preparation

We prepare all necessary documents before your appointment. This includes drafting your power of attorney or other documents in Turkish, gathering required supporting materials (passport copies, tax numbers, property details), and ensuring everything meets the notary's requirements. By preparing thoroughly in advance, we minimise the time you spend at the notary office and reduce the risk of being sent away for missing paperwork.

Step 3: Notary appointment booking

We book your appointment at a notary office convenient to your location. In cities like Istanbul and Antalya, some offices are significantly busier than others, so we select offices where we have established working relationships and where wait times are shorter. We confirm the date, time and what to bring well in advance.

Step 4: Accompaniment and translation

On the day, we meet you at the notary office with our sworn translator. Turkish law requires a yeminli tercuman to be present whenever a foreign national who does not speak Turkish is party to a notarised transaction. Our translator reads through every document with you, explains each clause, and ensures you understand your rights and obligations. We handle all communication with the notary staff and manage the process from start to finish.

Step 5: Post-appointment follow-up

After the appointment, we provide you with certified copies of all signed documents and explain any next steps. If your power of attorney needs to be sent to a lawyer, bank, or government office, we coordinate that. If additional notary visits are required for your transaction, we schedule those as well.

Pricing

Notary service pricing

Our notary assistance fee covers the full service: consultation, document preparation, appointment booking, sworn translator and accompaniment. Notary office fees (paid directly to the notary) are separate and depend on the type of transaction.

Because every notary transaction is different, we provide a personalised quote after our initial consultation. Factors that affect pricing include the type of document, the complexity of the transaction, the city, and whether multiple appointments are needed.
