Expert work permit assistance for foreigners
Getting a work permit in Turkey is one of the more complex processes foreigners face. The application involves coordination between your employer, the Ministry of Labour and Social Security, and often a Turkish consulate abroad. We have been helping people through this process for over a decade, and we know exactly where things tend to go wrong.
Whether you have been offered a position with a Turkish company or you are looking to set up as an independent professional, our team will guide you through every step. We work with employers across Istanbul, Antalya, Ankara and beyond, and we handle the paperwork in Turkish so you do not have to.
Everything we handle for you
How it works
Our process is designed to keep things straightforward. We handle the technical side while keeping you informed at every stage.
1. Initial Assessment
We start with a one-to-one consultation to understand your situation. We will review your nationality, qualifications, employment status and any existing permits. This allows us to determine whether an employer-sponsored or independent permit is the right route, and to flag any potential issues early. You can read more in our work permit guide.
2. Employer Coordination
For employer-sponsored permits, we liaise directly with your Turkish employer to ensure their side of the application meets all requirements. This includes verifying the company's foreign employee quota, preparing the employer declaration and confirming the job description matches the permit criteria. If you are self-employed, we help you prepare the business case and supporting documentation instead.
3. Document Preparation
We compile your full application file, including passport copies, photographs, educational certificates, sworn translations, apostille stamps and any additional supporting documents. Every document is checked against current Ministry requirements to avoid rejection.
4. Ministry Application
We submit your application through the official Ministry of Labour and Social Security online system. If you are applying from abroad, we coordinate with the relevant Turkish consulate to ensure your work visa application is filed simultaneously. We monitor the application status and respond to any requests from the Ministry on your behalf.
5. Permit Approval
Once the Ministry approves your application, we notify you immediately and guide you through the next steps. If you are abroad, this means collecting your work visa from the consulate and entering Turkey within the specified timeframe. If you are already in Turkey with a valid residence permit, we handle the transition directly.
6. Card Collection
After approval, your work permit doubles as your residence permit. We assist with the biometric appointment at the local immigration office and ensure your permit card is collected and activated correctly. We also help you register your address and update your records with the tax office if needed.
