Vehicle Inspection (Ekspertiz) in Turkey

A professional vehicle inspection before you buy, with full report translation and honest advice.

Services

Know exactly what you are buying

The ekspertiz is the single most important step when buying a used car in Turkey. It is a professional vehicle inspection carried out at a licensed centre that tells you exactly what condition the car is really in. Without one, you are relying on the seller's claims and your own eyes, and some problems are simply invisible without the right equipment.

Our vehicle inspection service takes the guesswork out of the process. We book the ekspertiz, accompany you to the centre, explain every finding in the report, and advise you on whether the car is worth buying at the asking price. If you are buying a car through our car buying service, the ekspertiz is already included. This standalone service is for people who have found a car themselves and just want an independent, professional inspection before committing.

What's Included

Everything we handle for you

Ekspertiz booking - we find a reputable, licensed inspection centre near you and book the appointment at a time that works for both you and the seller
Accompaniment to the centre - we come with you (and the seller or their representative) to the ekspertiz centre and stay for the entire inspection
Report translation and explanation - the ekspertiz report is in Turkish. We translate every finding, explain what each measurement means, and highlight anything that should concern you
Paint thickness analysis - we walk you through the paint thickness readings panel by panel, showing you which areas (if any) have been repainted and what that implies about the car's accident history
Accident history check - we run the vehicle through the Tramer system (Turkey's insurance claims database) to see if the car has any recorded insurance claims from previous accidents
Mechanical assessment review - we go through the engine, transmission, brakes and suspension findings with you, explaining the severity of any issues and the likely cost to repair them
Negotiation advice - based on the ekspertiz results, we advise you on whether the asking price is fair, what a reasonable counter-offer would be, and whether any issues are serious enough to walk away from the deal

How It Works

How it works

Here is how our vehicle inspection service works from start to finish.

Booking the Inspection
Vehicle Drop-off / Collection
Ekspertiz Report Review
Fault Assessment
Negotiation Support

Step 1: Booking the inspection

You tell us which car you want inspected, where it is located, and when suits you. We find a licensed ekspertiz centre in the area and book the appointment. If the seller is reluctant to agree to an inspection, that is itself a red flag, and we can help you communicate why it is standard practice. Most honest sellers are happy to cooperate because a clean ekspertiz report helps them sell the car faster.

Step 2: Vehicle drop-off or collection

On the day of the appointment, the car needs to be at the ekspertiz centre. In most cases, the seller drives it there. We meet you at the centre and handle all communication with the staff. If the seller is a dealer, they usually have their own arrangements for getting the car to the centre. Either way, we make sure the logistics are sorted so you just need to turn up.

Step 3: Ekspertiz report review

Once the inspection is complete, the centre produces a detailed report. This covers the paint thickness on every panel, the condition of the chassis and frame, engine and transmission diagnostics, brake pad and disc wear, suspension condition, tyre tread depths, and the state of all electrical systems. The report is in Turkish. We go through every section with you, translating and explaining what each finding means in practical terms.

Step 4: Fault assessment

Not every finding in an ekspertiz report is a deal-breaker. Some issues are cosmetic or expected for the car's age. Others are serious and expensive to fix. We give you an honest assessment of each finding: what it means, how much it would cost to repair, and whether it is something you can live with or something that should make you walk away. If the car has been in a significant accident, we explain what the paint readings and structural checks tell us about the severity.

Step 5: Negotiation support

If the ekspertiz reveals issues, you are in a strong negotiating position. We help you calculate a fair price reduction based on the repair costs and advise on your negotiation approach. If the car is clean, the ekspertiz report gives you confidence to proceed to the notary transfer. If you are using our full car buying service, we handle the negotiation directly on your behalf.

Pricing

Inspection pricing

Our vehicle inspection service fee covers the booking, accompaniment, report translation, assessment and negotiation advice. The ekspertiz centre's own charge (typically 1,500 to 3,000 TL) is paid separately and directly to the centre on the day.

If you are using our car buying service, the ekspertiz accompaniment is already included in that package. This standalone inspection service is designed for people who have found their own car and want professional, independent support for the inspection stage only.
